Led by Don and Jenny Murray – Trustees
Our Australian Support
The Rosie May Foundation is represented in Australia by Jenny and Don Murray who live in Brisbane, Queensland. Jenny and Don lived in the UK between 1990 -1995 and became close friends with their neighbours, Graham and Mary Storrie. When Rosie May Storrie was born in 1993, Jenny and Don proudly accepted an invitation to become Rosie May’s Godparents. A close bond between the two families has been maintained accross the decades with visits to both sides of the globe.
Following Rosie May’s death and the formation of the Rosie May Foundation, Jenny and Don have actively promoted the Rosie May Foundation in Australia, engaging sponsors for girls at the Rosie May Home in Sri Lanka and conducting fundraising activities to support RMF projects in Sri Lanka and Nepal. Jenny and Don are both Trustees of the RMF.
Don Murray spent over two decades in hospital administration, having been the Chief Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer of tertiary hospitals in New South Wales and Queensland with his last appointment leading the Mater Health Services Group’s Private Hospitals in Queensland for 14 years. Don sat on the Private Hospitals Association of Queensland’s Management Committee for 13 years and was President for the last 4 years until his retirement. Post retirement, Don took on a 6 month locum appointment as the Chief Operating Officer of the Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland.
Jenny Murray’s career in Operations, Finance and Administration management included 13 years with a multi-national corporation with senior appointments in Australia and Europe. In addition to her family commitments, Jenny now manages all communications, administration and finances for the RMF in Australia.
